I-75 Design Build
I-75 Design Build
The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) is leading a major infrastructure upgrade at the I‑75/I‑24 interchange in Chattanooga, known as Phase II. Designed to alleviate congestion, improve safety, and modernize aging infrastructure, the $161 million project is being delivered through a Progressive Design-Build approach, allowing construction and design to move forward simultaneously.
The project includes widening I‑75 and I‑24, replacing overpass bridges, and expanding ramps to triple-lane capacity. Key improvements will enhance traffic flow through one of the most heavily traveled freight corridors in the state. Nighttime work is being scheduled to minimize impact on daily commuters, with overall completion expected in late summer 2025.
Wilson & Associates provided construction surveying services for this effort, using a combination of traditional methods along with terrestrial and aerial LiDAR to support accurate, timely execution across the project’s complex phases.
